Iiwari Care

Iiwari Care is a care home alarm system that allows care home staff to monitor and respond to emergencies in real-time. It uses state-of-the-art UWB indoor positioning hardware and software to provide real-time location of residents and staff.
Iiwari Care is an Android mobile app I developed which allows care home staff to see real-time locations of their residents and staff. The app can also call into a 'callbox' which allows care home staff to speak to residents in their room first before attending an alarm made by the resident.
I also built the backend which supports handling the real-time events of the tags which provide me with location and button presses. For example, when a carer or resident presses the button on the tag, it sends an alarm to every single phone running the Iiwari Care app.
This project involved working with a lot of native Android code, Go backend services, etc. This was a very challenging project as it required a lot of custom hardware and software integration.
